Ok, so the title of the Article is pretty self explanatory. Although these are kind of things you'd see through living in a city or at a larger college, the 7 types were broken down into:

1. Selfie Stick Wielding Instagram Hero
2.  The Trust Fund Kid
3.  The Person who's Confidently Homeless
4. The Gemstone Healing Hippie
5. Middle Aged guy trying to relive his youth
6. That Brutally Honest person
7. The Australian w Alcoholic Tendencies

Reddit Thread: What’s a Trap That Almost Everyone Will Fall For At Some Point In Their Lives? PART 1

Another Reddit Thread i came across and would like to elaborate on is "What’s a Trap That Almost Everyone Will Fall For At Some Point In Their Lives?". Right off the bat i assume you have/get a rush of thoughts and emotions to where you can rattle off a couple relatable answers no problem. So here we go: Theres 11 of these that were highlighted within the 1000's of comments, and i don't want to just have some longform piece, like a hardo. Im going to split this into 3 separate blogs. Less is more.

Trap #1: Comparing yourself to other people.

In my opinion this is pretty close to impossible to do, but effort certainly counts in this situation. Throughout your life everything is calculated. You're grades for 12+ years in school, sports/games as a kid/young adult, social status (being rich poor popular bullied etc). It's very tough to get out of a mindset that doesn't revolve around numbers and keeping score. All that type shit. But the older i get the more I'm starting to understand: Fuck it. Be selfish in your self evaluation and progress. Still keep a good attitude and always be trying to get better though.
But stuff happens whether good or bad. Oh well. Gotta keep it moving no matter what.

Trap #2: No, you won't stay for one more drink.

Kind of wish i took this advice once in a while during my 2009-2015 endeavors roaming around Winthrop and Bridgewater.  You never know, staying for that one more drink may have gotten you very important things in your life. Wouldn't have bumped into that broad who's now your girlfriend, wouldn't have been there to help your buddy not get his teeth kicked in, etc. But i feel like the 2016 equivalent to this is being "For the Boys". Don't get me wrong, friends are very high on my list of priorities, but tapping out once in a while may be better in the long run. (cough cough me going from a WR to DE in stature) Shoutout those people who remind me whenever i piss them off enough.

Editor Note: Also shoutout Kenny Chesney, "One is too many, and a thousand is never enough."

Trap #3: Letting Things Overwhelm You.

This is a little bit of 1 & 2 mixed together to some extent. In terms of positive thoughts, yeah FOMO sucks, couple examples for me would be not finishing school at the pace you would like, missing a prime Yirrell day, stuff like that. BUT most fun things can be replicated one way or another, or as long as things get sorted out eventually no big deal. For negative scenarios, worrying about shit (especially when its out of your control) is the WORST and is something we all battle. Whether it be school, social life, work...I'm personally trying to #TrustTheProcess. Unless its like a pending court case that will send you to the slammer, then id worry.

Next 3 will be up in a few days, maybe. lol

***Heres the link for anybody who wants to look ahead or whatever. Id embed it but I'm not trying to spoil my stuff later so you've got to copy & paste that shit. Getting 40+ page views rather then 75+ certainly isn't going to pay the bills anytime soon.

RS Rebuttal: O/U Vinny Staples Video

This video was one of the funnier & interesting things I've came across on twitter in a while, 4 minutes and 18 seconds of Vinny being real but still showing a sense of humor. Now I've had this in the drafts for months, but sometimes with this blog i end up taking a break for whatever reasons and end up going silent for 3-4 weeks like an idiot.

Going to take each statement or phrase given, and then spit out my own response, whether i agree of disagree, that type shit. Also I'm aware I'm Vulture'ing here.

OVERRATED/UNDERRATED

1. SOBRIETY

Vinny S: "Sobriety is underrated man. I'm all about the necessary, and I'm all about going hard or going home. If you're getting high, and not off the crack rock, I've got to worry about your commitment to the cause. My boy DMX hit the pookie & went platinum."

Bobby S: Im pretty torn here. I've been laying low lately; i do think it for the most part sobriety is underrated. Not blowing money on temporary shit (buzz/drunk/high), not messing with your immune system and brain is pretty dope. BUT to quote my man Frank Sinatra (supposedly) "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, thats as good as they're going to feel all day."

PS: This depends on the time of year. Summer? Overrated. Winter? fuck it.

2. THE AMISH

Vinny S: " I don't know if the Amish are rated at all. I don't trust the Amish. I think they got iPhones. They don't got black Amish people. (Looks at somebody) They got black Amish? They got Puerto Rican Amish? I will never be Amish. Its not my movement. You know let them have that We are trying steal people shit in America man, taking oil, took peoples Playstations, Let people be. Im not putting on that stupid ass hat."

Bobby S: Tough to disagree here. 100% Amish are not on my radar. Pretty sure any negative thoughts i have came from that TV show they had called Breaking Amish on TLC. Weird people making a buck on being weird. Also i don't really have sympathy for people who purposely stay behind the times. I mean I'm not saying every Nana should be a wizard with an iPhone, but putting yourself at a disadvantage in 2016 isn't a good look. God and Faith will do that though. Not necessarily relevant but i do fuck with Matsiyahu though.

3. KFC

Vinny S: "KFC is overrated. Fuck the Colonel. Fuckin Asshole he's a slave owner."

Bobby S: First, RIP the colonel (if KFC the brand ever sees this). Im going to go with overrated though. I do like the Famous Bowls, had more than my fair share going to the one in Bridgewater. Only problem was it is basically a laxative for the lack of a better term. But Vinnys prob right with the slave owner statement. So i agree there with him there.

4. BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY

Vinny S: "Bill Nye is underrated man. Bill Nye is the reason all these kids know how to proportion the lean in their beverage. He taught us these algorithms. Very underrated, is he dead?

Bobby S: OVERRATED. Man F Bill Nye, and Lean. Tried to do fake lean once at 19 with two friends. Bought the big CVS cough syrup bottle and that shit got us soooo sick. Like my eyes crossed and shit. Pretty sure the baby bottles are what helped people start proportioning shit out correctly (s/o Future). My underlying opinion of Bill is that he's like Bob Saget (s/o Entourage). Just a closet asshole, weirder, sex addict. If I'm wrong I'm wrong, no big deal.

5. LOBSTERS

Vinny S: "Lobsters are underrated, they don't die. You have to kill a Lobster for it to die. You think I'm fucking around, don't you? Look at my face, do i look like somebody who doesn't know what they're talking about right now?"

Bobby S: F Lobsters too. First because i don't like Lobster or seafood. Maybe fried scallops and if I'm hungry enough i can deal with Crab Rangoon. Lobsters yeah they live forever, but they're bottom feeders of the Ocean. Pretty sure Feitelberg had this type take so I'm piggybacking off it. No need for a Lobster Roll to be $20 also, with fluctuating prices depending on the season. FOH. Overrated.

6. OPRAH

Vinny S: "Oprah underrated man, because people forget she has that trash ass broadcast network. And she founded Dr.Phil, and some other people probably, Dr. Drew?....Probably Beats by Dr. Dre."

Bobby S: Oprah's the GOAT. You get a car! You get a car! You get a car! Has so much money she doesn't know what to do with it. (kidding)

7. TOM CRUISE

Vinny S: "Tom Cruise is underrated. ("Why?"), cuz the Mission was Impossible.......then he pulled it off. Three Times!"

Bobby S: Tom Cruise in the 80's and 90's? Underrated. Top Gun. Risky Business. Jerry Macguire. Outsiders. Cocktail. Guy played with whatever he wanted whenever wherever. The Tom Cruise Scientology version? Hell no. Overrated. How the fuck you going to split with Katie Holmes like that. Him being like 5'4 doesn't help his case either.

8. KEEPING IT REAL

Vinny S: "Fuck all that Keep it Real shit man. Just be yourself, you might be a fake ass *****. If you a fake ass motherfucker you not keeping it real by being fake. But whats real? Cuz like you know some people are just not real. We know they know. But we got to act like we don't know that they know that we know. At the end of the day, they know that we know that they don't know that we know."

Bobby S100 emoji. Spot on. I have this situation going on with a few people currently, no big deal though. What you eat don't make me shit. Cole World.

9. CYBER BULLYING

Vinny S: "Cyber Bullying is overrated man. You wanna be mean to people go gang bang. Get shot in your fuckin ass. Bullying fat people man fat people are lovely. One of my Grandma's is fat.....lover her to death. So you bullying fat people then you bullying my Grandma? Imma fuck you up."

Bobby S: Cyber Bulling's low key one of my favorite things to do. But i understand theres a time and a place for everything. Making fun of Adam Schefter calling him Lord Farquad? Fun. 6th grade girls bullying each other via IG comments and snapchats? Not so much. TIE. Equally overrated & underrated. Sometimes the Cyber Bullies end up getting Cyber Bullied. Circle of Life.

10. PETA

Vinny S: "I dont fuck with PETA. Ive never seen PETA save one animal. PETA worried about furs, theres dude gunning down Rhinos. PETA out here worried about what people wearing rather than saving Rhinos. They out here DEAD theres no more Rhinos. Either all the white ones or gone or all the black ones are. What if Rhinos killed all the white or black people? We'd be mad as fuck right?"

Bobby S: Overrated. Good point about the Rhinos. But yeah PETA is going after shit when the damage has already been done. PETA definitely has good intentions, but messing with establishments and events in the "name" of wrongful killing or whatever the terms are does nothing. Just like the professional protesters who you see everywhere waving their freak flag.

11. PET OWNERSHIP

Vinny S: "Pet ownership is very overrated, its JAIL! People be hitting they animals and shit. And they wonder why Pitbulls start eating  motherfuckers. Okay you keep kicking me? Imma eat your fucking baby. Only white people treat animals like people. We think they're "crazy" but they think they've got the right idea. Give em a bedddd. Give em some toys. Fuck it if you really wanna be cool give them a house. You like Tumblr? Look up fancy dog houses they got two stories, swimming pools in them. Exactly people know how to treat these fucking animals. But i guarantee you if you put a Pitbull in a house like that with a dog elevator, it will never touch your child. Feed my ***** kibbles and bits. Slap with with a newspaper? He gone go rogue one day man."

Bobby S: VERY Underrated. Pets keep people from going insane. Dog is mans best friend. I have nothing to say though about what he said with the dog house, toys and shit. My cats are basically Garfield, they have everything they could ever need. But for the Pitbull stuff, I'm all for whatever people want. Hands off topic for me. Because i know there people who are very very left or right on that.

LIVE: BRENDAN RONAN BLOG. "When did we become the Yankees?"

PSA: BRon insists on sending me paragraphs upon paragraphs via text (every 2 out of 3 involve bullshit like Kelly O & the Celts) when things go on in or around Boston Sports teams. Got to the point where i said sack up and write a blog, and ill post it here (and future content) since hes only a Facebook warrior these days. So heres his take on the Chris Sale situation and the Sox as a whole going forward.

So as many of you have heard (or will be soon hearing), the Red Sox just made a deal that will bring Chris Sale, left-handed ace of the White Sox, to Boston. I want to start off by saying for many reasons this is obviously a good move by Sox brass. Among many reasons including the fact his nickname is "the Condor" (and the bevy of personal nicknames I'll give him like "Three Days of the Condor"), he's been a strikeout machine (led the league in '15) and Cy Young quality arm the past five seasons. A Cy Young quality arm that will be added to a rotation that all ready features past (David Price) and current Cy Young award winners (Rick Porcello). Let's not get too much into Rick though .. Kate Upton will start blowing up my phone or destroy what's left of my existence on Twitter. Gotta love super models complaining about how hard their life is..  BUT LETS GET TO WHAT I REALLY WANNA TALK ABOUT HERE.... When did we become the Yankees?

For those of you who didn't instantly catch the reference (which I'm sure many of you did), Red Sox management of the past few years have made multiple moves that eerily remind me of the Yankees during the early-mid 2000s. Breaking out the checkbook every offseason, the whole idea of "buying championships" pretty much became the Evil Empire's motto and seemingly led to the demise of an organization that found themselves in the postseason for the better part of 20 years before (1990-2010). Once heralded as the "good guys" or the Rebellion (if we're gonna run with Star Wars metaphors), we are now becoming the First Order, or the second version of the Evil Empire -- the Yankees .. Okay, I'll stop with the Star Wars references now.

BUT MY POINT IS .. we, the good guys .. Or WHO WE THOUGHT WE WERE (RIP Denny Green) are now using the same practices the Yankees regime of yester-year got their organization stuck in the proverbial mud with. Mud that consists of overPRICEd contracts, trade packages sending away the farm, and an all too aggressive GM driven for immediate results .. Sounds all too familiar, ehh?

Well look, there are still many differences. The Sox currently have a great core of young players (something the 2000s Yankees lacked) and there are still many pieces in our farm, including top-ranked 2016 pitching prospect Jason Groome and the future at 3rd base hopefully sooner then later Rafael Devers. I say sooner then later due to the fact the Sox have a Goodyear blimp disguised as a Panda bear currently stationed at 3rd base (I know I know, I saw the pic .. when's his Nutrisystem commercial coming out?). Which brings me to the kicker .. Or the end all be all to this discussion to me .. who is Red Sox manager, John FREAKING Farrell.

Regardless of all the similarities I can draw to the Yankees, or the potential of a Sox team flourishing with young talent, if you want to stake your interest in the Red Sox future .. The man who will decide it, for now, is Farrell (and Trader Dave .. And a few others .. BUT MAINLY FARRELL). As the Sox transition away from the Papi Era, with the help of some vets (more like one vet, Pedey), Farrell will be responsible of guiding the ship forward from here and he can make this dream the past decade or so continue OR can remind us why history will repeat itself and so far history says YOU CANT BUY RINGS. And one last thing, has anyone discussed when Sox throwback jersey night is? Probably wanna let Sale know about that.
I appreciate the opportunity the contribute to the No Shame Swanson Bobspot .. FUCK YOU GUMBY!!!.

Seahawks LB/DE Cassius Marsh has 20k worth of "Magic: The Gathering" cards stolen from his car.

http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seahawks/seahawks-lb-cassius-marsh-has-20000-worth-of-magic-the-gathering-cards-stolen-from-his-car/

What a shitty day it must be for this guy. Didnt really recognize his name but this is a battling/trading card game like Pokemon, World of Warcraft, etc. The article mentions how he's had them and been playing since he was 11, and that he's a pro at it. I can admit i do in some areas strattle the line of being a nerd but i had to google this stuff. Gotta imagine the culprit's act was: A person who he served an L to sometime in the past, or this is a break in where the person got stuck with the cards. i don't have specific details but imagine going through a middle console, finding some string Crown Royal velvet bag (which i imagine its in), and after finding some basic kid looking shit (assuming they were oblivious to its worth). Id be so mad. Theres also gotta be a holographic Charizard in the deck or something to that equivalent for them to be 20-25k. He explained how this was an activity that helps him blow off steam away from football which i do get and feel bad about. Not like its a Rolex that can be shrugged off and replaced i guess. This is kind of like in Middle School when everyone was always wearing basketball shorts under everything, ya never know when your gonna need your Magic: The Gathering cards. I do have a couple questions for Cassius though. You ever heard of video games dude? Smoking weed like a majority of your coworkers? Having like 8 girlfriends/side pieces? If i were the person with them in my possession i'm milking all those cards via the internet, 2 tickets to a Seattle home game isn't worth it.

PS: This dude is TATTED. Gotta have a few of his guys inked on his skin. "Wont press charges" but he might knock your head clean off for messing with his shit.

Why sports are the best: OL Taylor Lewan consoles young Titans fan after loss to Chargers

How awesome is this? Even after taking a 43-35 loss, Taylor Lewan goes out of his way (which does happen a lot) to give alittle pick me up speech to this kid who was clearly upset about the game. These are the little things that remind you that sports are something that is unlike anything else on the planet. 100% that kid will remember that moment for the rest of his life, maybe even the fans that witnessed it too. I'd day in general most athletes over their lifetime will get water works. Generally around the ages of 12 (little league/youth soccer), 18 (finishing high school sports), and for some 22 (college athletics), so everyone can relate. You can't really make out what Taylors actually saying, but I've got the assume its along the lines of everything going to be okay, and to not worry or let tonight get to him.Taylor and the rest of the Tennessee Titans will get back to work next week. Halfway through the video i was hoping he was going to toss him either the gloves or bucket. Either way good shit by Taylor.

PS: Love the interaction between the Cop & Taylor at the end. Seriously If you don't appreciate these moments within sports then pound sand.

Tim Tebow w a hilarious walk off single in the Arizona Fall League

http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=17997992&ex_cid=espntw&sf41565989=1
Link to ESPN Angle ^

The cliche knee slapper youre going to see from media outlets later today will be "You know what kept that ball fair & away from the Third basemen? God, thats who." Or something like that.

Tim gave his team a 4-3 win, & somehow pounded that pitch not almost directly into the ground, but swung SO late (cant really see the pitch location so he may have had to) that it took a line where i think the whole ballpark may have been suprised. It was so towards the 3B/left field line that it looked like somebody trying to go oppo in mens slowpitch softball, but fucking up. Im kind of curious what the hell the guy was referring to when basically yelling "hysterical"(espn video) right as the pitch was being thrown. Next thing i immediately looked for while rewatching was the other teams bench reaction, Gotta assume its a very basic "Tim Fuckin Tebow". Hes somewhat like Bobby Boucher. Alot of "Yes Coach, No Coach", says grace at the dinner table, loves his mama & fooseball.

Also F ESPN for making you watch the Von Miller commercial everytime you wanted to replay the video too.

Reddit Thread: What's something "childish" that you still enjoy doing?

So other than giving my 2 cents on current events all the time, something i'd like to get going on here will involve Reddit Threads. Whether it be via Twitter, FB, or other sites I've accumulated a bunch of topics, articles, video/docs, & questions that I've stashed away and will be breaking down once in a while. Although this seems like I'm cutting corners in terms of developing shit to write about, i plan on picking out the best and craziest replies to the question at hand, as well as my own original "answer" to compare. So for the first of many RSIV RT's is "What's something "childish" that you still enjoy doing?". With this is definitely a couple ways of brainstorming. Theres the route that "childish" is something you genuinely enjoyed at a much younger age, and this still occurs today. Nottttt necessarily the kind when you're drunk/fucked up & a group of girls reminds you of how childish you are. Either way is fine since I'm running the show.

Here's the link for whoever wants to check it out.
https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/4cybrk/whats_something_childish_that_you_still_enjoy/?#prclt-TsmelX1Y

ME: Okay so i'll give 3 of mine, while taking 5 from the Reddit Thread.
Right off the bat this seems like a real simple question, but i mean theres a million things to choose.

1.  CHARACTER MAC & CHEESE. I get fucking pissed when i find all we have is the original and its not the spirals or shapes (SpongeBob, Ninja Turtles). This was my stance in 1998 seeing as there is 100% a difference in terms of taste and to fit this into the initial question, i do still enjoy eating character Kraft Mac & Cheese over the other kinds. Facts.

2. When sitting at a red light i'll attempt to count down (3....2....1...) the seconds till it turns green. This doesn't really sound interesting but its the process i guess. Along with this is the attempt to watch the other traffic lights and get the timing down when once it hits yellow.

3.  Eating Hot Fries. Childish because i know its going to fuck up my mouth. Doin' it anyway.

WORTHY OF MENTION

1. [–]spastic_raider 0 points
Killing fire ants. I will go out of my way to kill them any chance I get.
When I was a kid, I used to find an any bed next to concrete, and rile them up, and then sit there and smash then with a rubber hammer for 30, 45 minutes as they tried to rush toward me.
I don't do the hammer thing anymore, but i do enjoy burning them.

LOL uhh alright buddy.

2.[–]hungry_lobster 44 points
Walking on a narrow edge like the edge of a curb or a planter. Nothing says "fuck my responsibilities" like a grown man with airplane arms walking a tightrope. Shits fun yo.

Sobriety Test. Touche.

3. [–]pmyourbestjoke 303 points
Painting glue onto my hands and peeling it off when it dries.
Edit: How is my first reddit comment also my best? Thanks for the welcome guys.

I'm 35, and I just bought myself a play dough fun factory last week, because it's awesome to fiddle with when you're just hanging out and drinking.

Nice.
5. [–]FluffyMilo 9 points
Farting in my hand and putting in someone's face.
I'm 32 next week.

Lol. So thats the 1st RT here on Wait, What. Good thing about Reddit is that it never ends.

Doppelgänger: Blake Bortles & Sam Hunt

Hmm

                                                                                or

So this is clearly a (have you ever seen these two in the same place?) joke, but i really do think there is some resemblance. Both guys are 6 ft 4 inches tall, former college QB's (UCF & UAB), live and die by 5 o'clock shadow, have been/now are rich, and most obvious of all they get their fair share of tail. Granted Sam Hunt is 7 years older, figured id bring it up. Regardless, both studs.

                  UCF & Jacksonville Jags QB

                                     or

                 Country Singer/Songwriter

PS:Rough Go here. I almost stopped once i saw this in google images. Also realized after searching about 35 minutes trying to match shit up, that they barely in fact look alike. Whatever.

Portland Trailblazers low key collecting MA guys in 2016-17

After snooping the waiver wire on the ESPN Fantasy App i noticed something, theres a good group of Boston repping hoopers playing for the Portland Trailblazers. G Pat Connaughton (St Johns Prep), PG Shabazz Napier (Charlestown/Lawrence Academy), PF/C Noah Vonleh (Haverhill/New Hampton), and SF Jake Layman (Norwood/King Phillip) all were forces within MA High School basketball as well as AAU (BABC, Mass Rivals, & Middlesex Magic) between the years of 2009 to 2012.

UConn 2x National Champion Shabazz Napier

PS: TBT: Time @ the 2009 Black History Month Classic Public vs. Private i stole some shine from Shabazz. Found the youtube video that actually doesn't even show me whatsoever, but the archived boston.com article is there if anybody's got the $10 for it.

ND Alum & Baltimore Oriole  RHP Pat Connaughton

 Maryland Alum Jake Layman

                                                      Former Indiana Hoosier Noah Vonleh

I could've gotten really in depth here with each guys back story, College bball careers, and draft/role situation in POR but i held off. Figured its just a little "Did you see that _____?" type thing.

Lets try this (again)

Alright so ive decided to attempt to keep a running blog for the forseeable future. Currently i have a typical cube job with plenty of opportunities to keep updated on twitter, IG, Complex,Barstool etc, so i want to take advantage of that. I plan on tapping into hypotheticials, pop culture, sports, and just gossip in general whenever needed but i dont want to just be posting filler and uninteresting topics just to churn stuff out. I know some people will say "Okay Swan, clearly watched you bitch out on a blog then a podcast" but whatever shit happens. I had to bail on the Wait What Podcast (which is getting deleted) because i fell asleep the night after NYE with my Macbook, ALSO a semi open bottle of water. Woke up & thought i like pissed myself (nbd), and cant be keeping all the vulgar topics, links, and shit i was collecting and move them to another Mac on the same storage as my parents. Because of this though i have saved 15-20 blog worthy topics that were podcast segments and aren't dependant on todays current events.

The Website/app i have been using is great but ive decided to join up and get my opinions out via brtndesign.com, with none other than Matt "Burton" Pisani. Hes got his own content hes cooking up and i figured adding a blog well help us both, mainly so i have incentive to keep attempting to blog and have something to show for myself other than tweets. This will be my last post on Blogger so catch me on brtndesign.com soon. Lets get it Burton.

PS: i have a couple people who i anticipate will be adding their own peices to the puzzle, so hopefully the blog wont just be me spewing my sometimes unpopular opinions.

Adding the site logo isnt working from my phone right now so follow Matt @TGODBurton on twitter and @brtndesign on IG.
