@Bobbyswansonn's Pandora Station Lineup

Alright so i tend to consider myself a very musically influenced person, face it the world's not a nice place but music sometimes fills in the rough patches. I trust my iTunes more than your average joe, but overtime my stuff has dwindled down to the crowd pleasing basics. To keep my mind fresh, I've started to use Pandora more and more during the school year. Now its very easy to have 25-30 stations that play the same bullshit to get you through the day, but I'm not about that life. I need variety, mostly mood fulfilling music to make the day that much easier. This attempt should suit a pretty well rounded listener, and can touch base with just about any genre your trying to rock out to. Heres my basic kit to attack a tiresome and long grind in 2014.

Main Essential Stations:
-Florida Georgia Line
Country is something which never will go out of style, and almost never is there an inappropriate time to wind down and relax to. FGL is a great example of a rock/alternative approach at country, which is something i really like about it. They don't miss, and rarely give you some crappy irrelevant music you'll want to skip.
-Pearl Jam
I was raised around Pearl Jam, and theres a ton of songs i couldn't name but watch me spit effortlessly half the lyrics. This type of rock is something you can live to, nothing too crazy emotional, but gets the job done for me.
-New Radicals
Same type of boat as Pearl Jam. Nice calming 90's sounds.
-Nirvana
Obviously Nirvana's toked their share of reefer, an ultimate chill playlist on your way 24/7/365.
-Summer Hits of the 2000's
A transition from the band based stations I've previously mentioned. The 2000's were the shit and stumbling upon a throwback or two never hurt anyone.
-August Alsina
This dude right here my is guy. Breezy without the bullshit as id like to describe it as. Im curious to his background, where he throws his old jams in here and there.
-Trey Songz
Another one of my homies i get down with Monday through Sunday. Aint nothing wrong with a little R & B inspired music.
-Mac Miller
You never know what your going to get with Mac, mainstream or underground he keeps it different and in this case thats a good thing.
-Todays Hip Hop
Cant stray from the times, hip hop is what makes the world go round in todays musical society.

Remember Kanye West's "808 & Heartbreaks"? Yeah that was 6 years ago.

Six years ago, S-I-X damn years ago was "Ye's" album release on November 23rd 2008, is time flying by or what? Kanye's not so much the young melody making thug he thought he was anymore. And not in any shape or form am i close to the 155-160 lb frame i was at this point in time. A few MTV shows and Kim K bedroom(s) visit and here we are in the year of 2014. I don't recall this being one of my more influential albums of 2008-2009, but this shit still bangs.

Heartless, Love Lockdown, Paranoid, and Street Lights were definitely turned up on purpose in the Winthrop Viking Lockeroom. More specifically i recall McNeil taking a liking to those same songs. Either way congrats Kanye, you piece of shit!

Hanley & Sandoval? Sox Reload in full effect!

Great day/night to be a sports fan in New England. Patriots simply dismantled one of the "best" defenses of the NFL in the Detroit Lions. Celtics played a very high caliber team in the Trailblazers in a 2-3 possession game. And finally the big splash of November, the 5 year/ 90 million dollar contract supposive signing of Ex Sox SS, 30 year old Hanley Ramirez. I love this move by Ben Cherrington, but most of all about it how under the radar it was. Not to toot my own horn but i think i follow a very underrated group twitter accounts and saw this hours before the rest of you shmucks. As I'm typing this more rumors circle that Pablo "Panda" Sandoval is on his way to Boston. Like Ramirez, to ink a new deal of his own and join our squad for another "Worst to First" year for your 2013 World Champs. Although its nice to see a front office spend some cash and revamp a deflated roster (take note C's & B's). Problem i do have, is does these two acquisitions taint the run were giving Lester? and what to do with our young guys. At this point i think we can only get 2 out of these three guys without making a mess of our depth charts, where id rather see Hanley & Lester versus any other combo. I have a man crush on the Middlebrooks/Jenny Dell situation and i can't disagree that I'm a big fan of Xander Bogarts (sp?). So these two guys get kicked to the curb or sent down to develop longer? i doubt that this will go smoothly. Hanley was quoted as being open to working at Third or SS, which is a great thing so him and X will be interchangeable. I have a vision that the Panda signing is an eventual bridging of the gap to lessen the burden of David Ortiz. When i think of an American League DH, the build and make up of Sandoval comes to mind very quickly. Big Bat with a large frame, hopefully I'm not correct about this since i can't imagine a Brady/Papi-less world.Sox lineups no matter what this year is going to be exciting, and it must be a coincidence that were like 75% of latin decent. Cespedes, Rusney Castillo, Hanley, Panda Sandoval, yeah it seems like Papi's indirectly the guy behind all of this. If your skin color aint midsummer time all year round we don't want ya!

Oh the Giants aren't going to pay Panda ......"HMD"!

To quote the film Superbad..People don't forget!

Vikingville Brag: Athlete Edition

Alright so i hope its pretty obvious I'm a very big supporter of Winthrop, Massachusetts. From the town, the people, to the school system, i fuck with the Dub hard body. So i felt id like to shed some light on the towns collegiate athletics this 1.2 square mile or whatever place is currently producing. Lynn Items gone to shit concerning Winthrop and even the Transcript isn't what it used to be. Yeah there may not be any ESPN shout outs on the kids coming out of this community *cough cough I'm kidding Mikey E*. Everywhere i look I'm seeing somebody's on a roadie and strapping up for a team other than Blue & Gold. Pretty much using this as a sequel to Spins HSZ bios, but either way its getting some extra exposure to some hard working Vikings. I know i can't get everyone in here and I'm going to be bias as fuck since I'm doing this for somewhat fun. I midas whale focus on the sports of Hockey and Basketball since i seem pretty invested in them already. Just so i don't have to make it seem like I'm sucking everyones dick, ill briefly speak on some buddies and add accordingly for those who are apart of collegiate athletics in the Winter of 2014-2015. #RollVikes

Hockey:

Chris "Bucky" Leblanc, Forward for the Merrimack Warriors
He's what some people may call a stud through and through. Public School to Hockey East aint no joke and this kid also enjoys himself when home. Certainly one of the first to come to mind when assembling a drink tilt as well as when i was thinking of athletes to sauce some spotlight on. He may be an Ottawa Senator but ill take him back to Mites in Chel, definitely a "pass the sticks Buck" coming this winter break for sure.

Casey "The Doctah" Goll, Defensmen for THE SNHU Penmen
If you haven't met him, meet him. All i've got to say. Somehow has shaken off his St.Marys Spartan situation and reversed that to a full time Viking. Im going to go ahead and assume that if he and his sister Chelsea didn't split their abilities, they'd be in the show somewhere by now. His draft class from New Hampton has single handedly turned around the Program to a very respectable place to be whether on the ice or on the weekends. Yes ladies, he's single!

Brendan "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, Defensemen for the Franklin Pierce Ravens
Fucking Fitzy, Jesus Christ. True Irishmen who's in the box enough more than i could even make a joke about. Hard worker and drinker whom is 100% behind the times, technology wise. Cant leave this leader in Game Appearances for the Maroon and white or whatever the fuck they are off this list.

Joey "Loaf" Scarfo, Forward for the Curry Colonels
Instant Offense here people, especially in late August. If this kid had stock, i'd buy it. Hockey players who's grinded out the last few years (injuries) and now is getting some playing time for the Purple & white up in Milton. A very versatile Viking, easy going and has the ability to drink in many different social scenarios. Nothing less than a handful Genos for #10 is my expectations for this 2011 WHS product.

Jake "Randal" Rand, Defensemen for the Endicott Gulls
Jake here didn't know what he wanted to do, so went to be a Gull and has been juggling Golf & Puck since 01'. Very solid contributor for both programs over his college career,  &I'm over here with Howard struggling to eat 2 meals a day. Skillful with his hands, quite the head case when Rob Swanson feels to rattle his age. None the less a good example of a Viking.

Basketball:
Quinton Dale, Forward/Center for the Wheaton Lyons
When healthy, one of the more savage Division 3 players in the area. Sidelined with a torn ACL or some sad shit like that, he's sitting this winter but i hope for a sweet comeback for this long athletic big. Started towards the end of the bench his freshman year & pretty much killed it to the point where he completely skipped entering the rotation to being a main role of the team. Huge mismatch during summer league especially in the Revere Police League, those dudes cannot handle him what so ever.

Devin Thompson, Guard for the UNE Nor'easters
Not so much of a true Viking, but like Casey Goll represents the town very well in my opinion. Cash from deep as well as developed into a very physical guard when needs to be. Playing in Lynn definitely beat the white boy out of this kid. Gets his touches and is another sleeper summer league pick up.

Joe Damore, Forward for the Northeastern Huskies
It may be only at the Club Level, but Joe here has Division 1 athleticism to go with his weird personality. Jumps out the building and in recent years has psychologically grown the last few years, propelling him from being a weird plane major to hooping for NU this winter.

Some Other Vikes i just feel weird breaking down: Nick McCarthy (Bentley), Pat & Dan Feeley (UVM & Framingham St), Connor Dempsey (Dartmouth), Adam Lundberg (WNEC), Johanna Fisher (Central Conn), Mark Hamilton (UMaine), Jared Beckwith (USM), Mike O'Neill (Norwich), Bo Diaz (Framingham State), Jess Dowson (NEC), Haley Benson (UMass Lowell), Cody Wasson (Mount Ida), and a few others. Long Live Winthrop.

Happy 10th Anniversary to Fuck Boy Ron Artest & Crew!

Ahh November 19th 2004, such a sweet day for the NBA in regards to their reputation as a nice family oriented organization. Big Fro'd Ben Wallace freaks the fuck out on Ron Artest of the Indiana Pacers throwing fisticuffs and then Artest ends up high stepping into the crowd  knocking out a few Average Joe Motherfuckers from Detroit left and right! I don't remember really caring about the situation but I swear Stephen jackson hasn't done ONE worth while thing since this whole escapade, heavy hands non the less. I think i was probably in 7th grade, this whole phase was pretty much walking around the Middle School twirling my soon to be mustache  & trying to not get screamed at by Steve Mahoney at basketball practice. As much as a terrible negative shadow was casted over the NBA for a while, Ron Artest or "Metta World Peace" as he's been bitching to be called, may have made out in this ordeal. Yeah he got like a seasons worth of a suspension, this event as his peak of his Pro Career publicity wise. Seriously though, even if this dude is somewhere in China right now pounding some of Asia's finest snatch while wearing a Panda Mink Bath Robe, who's even there to acknowledge it? I'd compare being a Pro Athlete overseas to shopping in the mall and eating in the food court by yourself. Yeah you might have some cool gifts you bought & nice orange chicken samples as well while the ability of hitting on some women, but who the fuck do you share the other moments with? Not the authentic Jeremy Lin's on your squad thats for sure, I've seen Love & Basketball once or thrice. From being a crunch time defensive stopper to a washed up grind it out paycheck to paycheck forward rocking these kicks just to stay relevant. I know I'm throwing shade but Ill stick to my $10 bag blunts and having my fingers crossed on getting 71's on all my assignments.
#Fire

This dude probably hopped over the railing to get on the T and 35 minutes later he was getting a fist full of World Peace
Found the full video here for all you sucka NBA fans who were up to speed back then.
