Seahawks LB/DE Cassius Marsh has 20k worth of "Magic: The Gathering" cards stolen from his car.

http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seahawks/seahawks-lb-cassius-marsh-has-20000-worth-of-magic-the-gathering-cards-stolen-from-his-car/

What a shitty day it must be for this guy. Didnt really recognize his name but this is a battling/trading card game like Pokemon, World of Warcraft, etc. The article mentions how he's had them and been playing since he was 11, and that he's a pro at it. I can admit i do in some areas strattle the line of being a nerd but i had to google this stuff. Gotta imagine the culprit's act was: A person who he served an L to sometime in the past, or this is a break in where the person got stuck with the cards. i don't have specific details but imagine going through a middle console, finding some string Crown Royal velvet bag (which i imagine its in), and after finding some basic kid looking shit (assuming they were oblivious to its worth). Id be so mad. Theres also gotta be a holographic Charizard in the deck or something to that equivalent for them to be 20-25k. He explained how this was an activity that helps him blow off steam away from football which i do get and feel bad about. Not like its a Rolex that can be shrugged off and replaced i guess. This is kind of like in Middle School when everyone was always wearing basketball shorts under everything, ya never know when your gonna need your Magic: The Gathering cards. I do have a couple questions for Cassius though. You ever heard of video games dude? Smoking weed like a majority of your coworkers? Having like 8 girlfriends/side pieces? If i were the person with them in my possession i'm milking all those cards via the internet, 2 tickets to a Seattle home game isn't worth it.

PS: This dude is TATTED. Gotta have a few of his guys inked on his skin. "Wont press charges" but he might knock your head clean off for messing with his shit.

Why sports are the best: OL Taylor Lewan consoles young Titans fan after loss to Chargers

How awesome is this? Even after taking a 43-35 loss, Taylor Lewan goes out of his way (which does happen a lot) to give alittle pick me up speech to this kid who was clearly upset about the game. These are the little things that remind you that sports are something that is unlike anything else on the planet. 100% that kid will remember that moment for the rest of his life, maybe even the fans that witnessed it too. I'd day in general most athletes over their lifetime will get water works. Generally around the ages of 12 (little league/youth soccer), 18 (finishing high school sports), and for some 22 (college athletics), so everyone can relate. You can't really make out what Taylors actually saying, but I've got the assume its along the lines of everything going to be okay, and to not worry or let tonight get to him.Taylor and the rest of the Tennessee Titans will get back to work next week. Halfway through the video i was hoping he was going to toss him either the gloves or bucket. Either way good shit by Taylor.

PS: Love the interaction between the Cop & Taylor at the end. Seriously If you don't appreciate these moments within sports then pound sand.

Tim Tebow w a hilarious walk off single in the Arizona Fall League

The cliche knee slapper youre going to see from media outlets later today will be "You know what kept that ball fair & away from the Third basemen? God, thats who." Or something like that.

Tim gave his team a 4-3 win, & somehow pounded that pitch not almost directly into the ground, but swung SO late (cant really see the pitch location so he may have had to) that it took a line where i think the whole ballpark may have been suprised. It was so towards the 3B/left field line that it looked like somebody trying to go oppo in mens slowpitch softball, but fucking up. Im kind of curious what the hell the guy was referring to when basically yelling "hysterical"(espn video) right as the pitch was being thrown. Next thing i immediately looked for while rewatching was the other teams bench reaction, Gotta assume its a very basic "Tim Fuckin Tebow". Hes somewhat like Bobby Boucher. Alot of "Yes Coach, No Coach", says grace at the dinner table, loves his mama & fooseball.

Also F ESPN for making you watch the Von Miller commercial everytime you wanted to replay the video too.

Reddit Thread: What's something "childish" that you still enjoy doing?

So other than giving my 2 cents on current events all the time, something i'd like to get going on here will involve Reddit Threads. Whether it be via Twitter, FB, or other sites I've accumulated a bunch of topics, articles, video/docs, & questions that I've stashed away and will be breaking down once in a while. Although this seems like I'm cutting corners in terms of developing shit to write about, i plan on picking out the best and craziest replies to the question at hand, as well as my own original "answer" to compare. So for the first of many RSIV RT's is "What's something "childish" that you still enjoy doing?". With this is definitely a couple ways of brainstorming. Theres the route that "childish" is something you genuinely enjoyed at a much younger age, and this still occurs today. Nottttt necessarily the kind when you're drunk/fucked up & a group of girls reminds you of how childish you are. Either way is fine since I'm running the show.

Here's the link for whoever wants to check it out.

ME: Okay so i'll give 3 of mine, while taking 5 from the Reddit Thread.
Right off the bat this seems like a real simple question, but i mean theres a million things to choose.

1.  CHARACTER MAC & CHEESE. I get fucking pissed when i find all we have is the original and its not the spirals or shapes (SpongeBob, Ninja Turtles). This was my stance in 1998 seeing as there is 100% a difference in terms of taste and to fit this into the initial question, i do still enjoy eating character Kraft Mac & Cheese over the other kinds. Facts.

2. When sitting at a red light i'll attempt to count down (3....2....1...) the seconds till it turns green. This doesn't really sound interesting but its the process i guess. Along with this is the attempt to watch the other traffic lights and get the timing down when once it hits yellow.

3.  Eating Hot Fries. Childish because i know its going to fuck up my mouth. Doin' it anyway.

WORTHY OF MENTION

Killing fire ants. I will go out of my way to kill them any chance I get.
When I was a kid, I used to find an any bed next to concrete, and rile them up, and then sit there and smash then with a rubber hammer for 30, 45 minutes as they tried to rush toward me.
I don't do the hammer thing anymore, but i do enjoy burning them.

LOL uhh alright buddy.

Walking on a narrow edge like the edge of a curb or a planter. Nothing says "fuck my responsibilities" like a grown man with airplane arms walking a tightrope. Shits fun yo.

Sobriety Test. Touche.

Painting glue onto my hands and peeling it off when it dries.
Edit: How is my first reddit comment also my best? Thanks for the welcome guys.

I'm 35, and I just bought myself a play dough fun factory last week, because it's awesome to fiddle with when you're just hanging out and drinking.

Nice.

Farting in my hand and putting in someone's face.

Doppelgänger: Blake Bortles & Sam Hunt

Hmm

                                                                                or

So this is clearly a (have you ever seen these two in the same place?) joke, but i really do think there is some resemblance. Both guys are 6 ft 4 inches tall, former college QB's (UCF & UAB), live and die by 5 o'clock shadow, have been/now are rich, and most obvious of all they get their fair share of tail. Granted Sam Hunt is 7 years older, figured id bring it up. Regardless, both studs.

PS:Rough Go here. I almost stopped once i saw this in google images. Also realized after searching about 35 minutes trying to match shit up, that they barely in fact look alike. Whatever.

Portland Trailblazers low key collecting MA guys in 2016-17

After snooping the waiver wire on the ESPN Fantasy App i noticed something, theres a good group of Boston repping hoopers playing for the Portland Trailblazers. G Pat Connaughton (St Johns Prep), PG Shabazz Napier (Charlestown/Lawrence Academy), PF/C Noah Vonleh (Haverhill/New Hampton), and SF Jake Layman (Norwood/King Phillip) all were forces within MA High School basketball as well as AAU (BABC, Mass Rivals, & Middlesex Magic) between the years of 2009 to 2012.

UConn 2x National Champion Shabazz Napier

PS: TBT: Time @ the 2009 Black History Month Classic Public vs. Private i stole some shine from Shabazz. Found the youtube video that actually doesn't even show me whatsoever, but the archived boston.com article is there if anybody's got the $10 for it.

ND Alum & Baltimore Oriole  RHP Pat Connaughton

 Maryland Alum Jake Layman

                                                      Former Indiana Hoosier Noah Vonleh

I could've gotten really in depth here with each guys back story, College bball careers, and draft/role situation in POR but i held off. Figured its just a little "Did you see that _____?" type thing.
