Lets try this (again)

Alright so ive decided to attempt to keep a running blog for the forseeable future. Currently i have a typical cube job with plenty of opportunities to keep updated on twitter, IG, Complex,Barstool etc, so i want to take advantage of that. I plan on tapping into hypotheticials, pop culture, sports, and just gossip in general whenever needed but i dont want to just be posting filler and uninteresting topics just to churn stuff out. I know some people will say "Okay Swan, clearly watched you bitch out on a blog then a podcast" but whatever shit happens. I had to bail on the Wait What Podcast (which is getting deleted) because i fell asleep the night after NYE with my Macbook, ALSO a semi open bottle of water. Woke up & thought i like pissed myself (nbd), and cant be keeping all the vulgar topics, links, and shit i was collecting and move them to another Mac on the same storage as my parents. Because of this though i have saved 15-20 blog worthy topics that were podcast segments and aren't dependant on todays current events.

The Website/app i have been using is great but ive decided to join up and get my opinions out via brtndesign.com, with none other than Matt "Burton" Pisani. Hes got his own content hes cooking up and i figured adding a blog well help us both, mainly so i have incentive to keep attempting to blog and have something to show for myself other than tweets. This will be my last post on Blogger so catch me on brtndesign.com soon. Lets get it Burton.


PS: i have a couple people who i anticipate will be adding their own peices to the puzzle, so hopefully the blog wont just be me spewing my sometimes unpopular opinions.

1st Annual Winthrop SSOP November 27th

Alright so we finally have Salvy's Series of Poker for the non contact event we've been waiting for to accompany the Hatzisavas Roundball Classic, HSZ Winter and Summer, Strikeout Kingz Wiff, Tennis Open and anything else considered to be kind of affiliated. Salvy's is  a tennis restringing company (?)  run by THE Kenny Hodge and he took the initiative with the help of some other people to get this thing going.


If you've already been invited, this was the official text you should've received:

"You been invited to the 1st annual Salvy’s Series of Poker will be held at St Johns hall in Winthrop Friday November 27th at 7PM. Entry is 40$, a portion of the money will go towards the WHS girls tennis team.  This is a BYOB event, (there will be a silent auction, and everyone who enters will be entered into a raffle for a prize at the end of the night.) Please let me know asap if you are in or out, It will be maxed out at 50 people in the tourney. Prize pool will be decided at the tournament, most likely top 4 or 5 will be paid."

Some of the money will go to whatever expenses are needed. Getting Tables, card, chips, all that shit.

Okay so i got a new phone and i went from a 4S to a 5C (i know thats poor shit), but my GB doubled from 8 to 16. Theres about 10 apps i didn't get to have because i chose to have my iTunes library since I'm a big music guy. So, one night i redownloaded Vine and went on a binge copying down some funny ones i saw from Junior year of college. In 2013, Vine had just came out and was HUGE. Now IG and snapchat were pretty much in the rotation but anything hilarious that people had forgot about is deep in the vine archives. I found this video honestly hilarious and somewhat enjoyable (at least the first half). From the opium/salvia hit from wiffleball bat sized bong, to the falling off the seat, to not knowing what the fuck the other dude is saying. Chalk this one up as a "Been there, Done that" moment for those who went to school. I had 3 instant comments when i found this:

Dad Runs over Son's Xbox 360 for Stealing

I'd watch the video before you check my take on this video, because this is a no brainer I would 100 out of 100 times take the ass beating than have my Dad run over my 360 for the whole world to see. Pain is just weakness leaving the body, not having an Xbox for this kid could last forever.  I understand the crying because sometimes when your in trouble emotions run high. But hopefully this guy realizes the shit his son is going to take at school this week is far more worse than that belt, could scar him for an extended period of time. I do appreciate this making it seem like he wants to show off his good parenting skills, when he clearly is doing this for the internet fame. But the confusing thing to me is that he "stole" a Now and Later out of a newspaper from his Dad? And they set him up too? Fuck outta here with that. Hopefully his Mom comes through in the clutch at some point. Santa's only 3 months away.

PS: The little girl chiming in with "That was awesome!" at the end got me so mad. Sounds exactly like Kelly when i used to get myself into shit all the time growing up. Salt in the wound.

So this weeks FedEx Cup tournament is The Tour Championship and this morning Jordan Spieth gave these girls a hell of an instagram pic. Just to let everyone know i am so fucking jealous, like really jealous. Me and some friends went to Deutsche Bank a few weeks ago and he wasn't there when we did because he didn't make the cut. I can imagine all of the old farts in the gallery saw this happen and gave a "oh hunny isn't this young man so great", and honestly yeah he fucking is. Survival of the Fittest. Couple of days it was Master Splinter grabbing that piece of pizza down the subway, now its his buddy grabbing a Shake Shack milkshake for dessert. I honestly didn't think he had the arm strength to grab this to get out of there, but i learn something new from the internet everyday. This lady recording has some serious balls though, like I'm not getting near this squirrel he's hungry as fuck and paranoid too. Pretty much this guy brought to life.

Anyways, its a cool video i guess. Decent humor with no really bad outcome unlike most news these days. Pretty sure the milkshake is going to get him sick as fuck but oh well thats his problem. First its out the trash then outs out your hand, head on a swivel from now on.
