One of the few things Winthrop provides other than a tremendously short commute to Fanueil Hall is Yirrell beach. MLB Talk: Should the NL adopt the role of DH? Yes/No

This has been quite the topic of discussion lately among baseball fans and i can honestly say I'm completely on the fence about it. Baseball writers seem pretty split about it too from what I've seen on ESPN and MLBtv. You either love the strategic complexion of the NL, or you like the slugging home run filled AL games from having that big bat in the middle of the lineup. Such a shame of how much influence TV Ratings & contracts seem to have in this, as baseball faces the popular criticism that its slow as shit and lacks the excitement factor that the NFL and NBA earn their loot on. Im going to attempt to play devils advocate and explain some pros and cons for whether or not the NL should get a Designated Hitter.

Why NL should get the DH

An argument point for the pro DH people came last night as they had their "aha see that?" moment with Adam Wainwright . Wainwright who's a top 5-10 pitcher in the MLB, tears his achilles stutter stepping out of the batters box, ending his season and a huge blow to Cardinals fans. A majority of these guys are top prospects through high school/college/minors but eventually have an ultimatum to which they chose to ditch being a position player /hitter and focus on pitching. So why have the automatic out once every 3 or so innings? Seems pretty easy to me seeing as pitchers are hitting .095 this year and that stat doesn't seem to be getting better anytime soon. From a Boston Red Sox point of view, the last 10 or so years wouldn't mean shit without the DH in the lineup. No DH, no break out David Ortiz performances, no World Series runs. Yes, Front Office moves would be altered to put out a successful ball club, but thats beside the point. Along with the DH is a scenario which makes it easier to work a guy back from injury or fatigue into the lineup. An example of this is Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki. Guys been hurt the past few years, and being able to put him at designated hitter can get him more AB's, in turn playing in more games, all of this without rushing his rehabilitation and furthering his career. Having a DH has grown the dependance on specialists in opposing teams bullpens (which is a good thing). The assumption of late inning lefty on lefty situations are personally something i like during playoffs.Another point that can spin off of using Papi and Tulo pertains to contracts and payroll. Big Market teams that spend $$ tend to be in the AL because these are the teams that can take chances on big offensive sluggers because when in doubt? Throw them at DH and take whatever offensive production ensues. Offensive numbers are certainly more of a priority in the AL because of this, and the financial flexibility of NL teams becomes handcuffed, forcing small market teams to stay small market teams( aka losers). This topic could literally go on forever so ill cut it there. Overall, bring in the fucking DH, MLB.

What kind of Music do they play at Drakes Coachella House Party? uhh Drake.

So Coachella to me is something that  Celebrities/Musicians/Kardashians do to justify, as well as remind people, that they are rich and wealthy. Tickets from what I've seen are a few thousand dollars with limited availability, go do drugs and listen to one big long concert, while doing all this dressed like a fucking hippie/asshole. All of Coachella for these #blessed individuals is the intention to "take some time off from their daily lives". A place kind of similar would be the Olympic Village once all the events are done. For those unfamiliar this where all the athletes stay for the period of time while competing, but just all fucked up with a good percentage of the people there having little to no discernible skills (thots). The more interesting part of this event is where Stars will rent timeshares or mansion type houses and just go wild. No schedules, no meet & greets, just the performers doing whatever the fuck they want on their down time. I normally wouldn't even bother attempting to touch upon anything from Coachella (since the rest of the world already does), but a tweet by a free lance photographer/videographer and Mike Stud tour member Ben Foley got me thinking. Is this a Hardo move by the homie Aubrey?

Drake supposedly threw a great house party to close out Coachella 2015, which seems fitting. But like you really want to walk around attempting to have a good time, while listening to the music you already put in countless hours to make? I understand not wanting to network anyone but yourself, but why not play some PND or some affiliates of the OVO family? Kind of a Dylan Dylan Dylan situation. But Oh well theres a reason why I'm where i am and he's where he is i get. As for this kid Ben Foley i completely consider him a credible source when it comes to this shit. His go to calling is a professional photographer, and he was invited to join Conrad's (singer) camp for Coachella 2015. He's only 19 and it still very up and coming, so the shit he says really can't be untrue or it'll come back to bite him later. Anyway follow him (BYFOLEY) because otherwise i wouldn't have seen this shit.

Breaking: Hit It n Bounce SG Sampson & SF/PF Jordan likely on the move.

Whether it be lack of focus or lack of effort, two veteran players from Hit It N Bounce are likely to be apart of different organizations by weeks end. Shifty two way guard Jon Sampson and High Energy swingman Thomas "TJ" Jordan's career's in Bridgewater are coming to an abrupt halt. Sampson has had flashes of stardom on the defensive end the past few seasons, but plaqued by his potty mouth and awful treatment towards referees puts him between a rock and a hard place. In definite need of a player coach and a laid back (stonery) situation, ideally attempts by the Los Angeles Clippers to take a look at swapping for the Silver Lake High class of 2009 product. Undoubtedly to serve a bench role, Sampson will take over what minutes bum ass Austin Rivers  has been getting since he reunited with his Father, Doc. There is a no trade clause in his contract but it seems that it has been overridden by Team President and Owner Nick Equi. JS7 is in the last of a three year deal at 56 grams per.

Forward TJ Jordan is in a much better situation than that of his old roommate & butt buddy Sampson when pertaining to the 2015 trade deadline. Raw Talent accompanied by injury has been his calling card since his rookie season for Hit It N Bounce in 2011, but don't worry. Certainly a viable locker room guy as well as an off the court gentleman, there isn't really any place that wouldn't want him for a playoff push. Looking for only 5 minutes a game as well as a pizza a week, he truly is the ideal example of a low risk high reward player. Viable options for the Marshfield High legend to be pursued by Philadelphia 76ers as well as the New York Knicks to battle for the kid as the tanking for Jahlil Okafor is still alive and well.

Rajon Rondo traded to Dallas Mavericks

And thats the end of an Era. Rondo was the last of the 2008 NBA championship, such a shame. People are really up in arms about this but i feel Danny Ainge really made the best of the situation. In the past he's really fucked up for the most part (not bringing back James Posey, Perk trade come to mind) but his last two moves seem to be potentially great for the Boston Celtics.

Mavs get Rondo and Dwight Powell (?)

Celts get Jameer Nelson, Jae Crowder, and Brandan Wright plus a First and Second round pick (at some point).

Jameer's a pro, and from what i know is a professional who hopefully will be an additional mentor to the young core of guards like RR9 had been. Jae Crowder's a tough swingman from Marquette who's worked on his game from being an undersized 4 man to a spot 3 point threat. Brandan Wright i feel will immediately help the Celtics more than the other two. Incredibly long and athletic, a hopeful rim protector the C's have been in search of since the loss of Perk to the Thunder. All in all Ainge is prepping for the future. It feels like theres about 10 guards on the roster and losing Rondo will really give more opportunity and responsibility on Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart. In terms of all the "blah blah wah Rondo" stuff, his injury last season locked up the Celts front office for trades and such. Resigning Rondo probably wouldn't happen, he's not the type to just sit here and be happy with taking L's while dropping triple doubles left and right. With this trade i feel we maxed out the trade potential for him at this stage of the season. This years amount of games reassured and showed other teams that he's healthy and ready to go, which is good and bad for those Rondo die hards. The most important part of this trade is that the 3 guys we got all have expiring contracts (i think), meaning more roster space for the Nets draft picks in the future in particular, as well as freeing up more money to pay for a possible trade away of Jeff Green and/or go and get free agents in the next few summers. Championships were in the far future with or without Rajon Rondo. Either way i still Bleed Green. #UbuntuForever

Alright so i tend to consider myself a very musically influenced person, face it the world's not a nice place but music sometimes fills in the rough patches. I trust my iTunes more than your average joe, but overtime my stuff has dwindled down to the crowd pleasing basics. To keep my mind fresh, I've started to use Pandora more and more during the school year. Now its very easy to have 25-30 stations that play the same bullshit to get you through the day, but I'm not about that life. I need variety, mostly mood fulfilling music to make the day that much easier. This attempt should suit a pretty well rounded listener, and can touch base with just about any genre your trying to rock out to. Heres my basic kit to attack a tiresome and long grind in 2014.

Main Essential Stations:
-Florida Georgia Line
Country is something which never will go out of style, and almost never is there an inappropriate time to wind down and relax to. FGL is a great example of a rock/alternative approach at country, which is something i really like about it. They don't miss, and rarely give you some crappy irrelevant music you'll want to skip.
-Pearl Jam
I was raised around Pearl Jam, and theres a ton of songs i couldn't name but watch me spit effortlessly half the lyrics. This type of rock is something you can live to, nothing too crazy emotional, but gets the job done for me.
-New Radicals
Same type of boat as Pearl Jam. Nice calming 90's sounds.
-Nirvana
Obviously Nirvana's toked their share of reefer, an ultimate chill playlist on your way 24/7/365.
-Summer Hits of the 2000's
A transition from the band based stations I've previously mentioned. The 2000's were the shit and stumbling upon a throwback or two never hurt anyone.

Six years ago, S-I-X damn years ago was "Ye's" album release on November 23rd 2008, is time flying by or what? Kanye's not so much the young melody making thug he thought he was anymore. And not in any shape or form am i close to the 155-160 lb frame i was at this point in time. A few MTV shows and Kim K bedroom(s) visit and here we are in the year of 2014. I don't recall this being one of my more influential albums of 2008-2009, but this shit still bangs.

Heartless, Love Lockdown, Paranoid, and Street Lights were definitely turned up on purpose in the Winthrop Viking Lockeroom. More specifically i recall McNeil taking a liking to those same songs. Either way congrats Kanye, you piece of shit!
